Arcana 30: The 2000 Convention was held Sept. 15-17 at Holiday Inn Express, St. Paul, with guest of honor (Click on his name to access his website) David Drake is the author of horror and science fiction in many forms, editor of numerous anthologies, and one third owner of the legendary, multiple award-winning publisher, Carcosa. While best known as a writer of series like “Hammer’s Slammers”, he has also won high praise for many other works, most notably his stories set in Vietnam (where he served), and in Rome (the source of a post-graduate degree). He lives in North Carolina with his wife Jo Anne. A retrospective collection of his short fiction is published by Fedogan and Bremer.
