Almost every woman writer whose name we recognize from the time period wrote at least one dark fantasy story, from Louisa May Alcott to Edith Wharton to the Brontes. Once again, Steve & Rich try to explain how they turned out so badly--this time by showing trailers of some old '50s and '60s B- (& worse) movies that ended up influencing their aesthetic direction. Award Presentation The Minnesota Fantasy Award for lifetime achievement goes to a person who has lived a significant amount of time in Minnesota and has made a significant contribution to the field of the fantastic. This year the award is accepted by Greg Ketter on behalf of artist John Berkey (1932-2008).
